Walt Maddox Issues Statement on the Passing of Commissioner Bob Harrison

This morning I learned of the passing of my friend, Commissioner Bob Harrison.

On behalf of myself, Stephanie, and my campaign team, we send our condolences to his wife, daughter, and the rest of his family and constituents in this time of mourning.
They are in our prayers.

Commissioner Harrison was a steadfast advocate for the citizens he represented in Madison County and the Huntsville area. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Bob for several years and can say that the Madison County Commission will be a lesser place without his service.

Bob Harrison spent his career fighting for the underserved and providing resources
to those less fortunate. He was a strong voice for children, seniors, and the homeless. He was a stalwart within our state and local Democratic parties where he used his platform to advocate for all citizens of Alabama.

While we will miss Bob, we will be forever grateful for his leadership and advocacy on behalf of all who call Madison County home.
