Tuscaloosa, Ala. — Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox wins a fourth term in office. With 8 of 9 precincts reporting by 10 p.m. Tuesday, Mayor Maddox was up 89% over his challenger Stepfon Lewis.
Maddox’s watch party was at Hotel Indigo in Downtown Tuscaloosa.
Mayor Maddox gave his victory speech very early in the evening. He told his supporters “tonight’s victory is your victory”.
Maddox said he will execute an ambitious agenda to continue his work over the past few years. Those items include: improving education, increasing public safety, reducing poverty, building better roads and creating new jobs.
The mayor said his office will be bold and relentless.
