Walt Maddox reports $338,000 in campaign contributions

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox raked in $338,000 in campaign contributions in August, bringing the total for his campaign for governor to $1.7 million since he started raising money last year. Campaign finance reports filed this week with the Secretary of State’s office show gubernatorial candidates Walt Maddox and Kay Ivey very close to one another in campaign fundraising; with Maddox showing more cash on hand.
